RUSSIAN CHAMPIONS
The ’15th Pattaya Beach Football Cup 2020′ took place from the 31st January to the 9th February and drew an enormous number of spectators. Every day during the 10 day competition the station on Jomtien Beach Road was totally full. Pattaya City Hall has promised to make the stadion bigger next year to accommodate all the beach football fans.
Ten teams participated this year and the standard of the teams was very high and it has been decided that next year the tournament will be split up in two tournaments one for local teams, the “Championship League”, and one for the professional teams, the “Premier League”. This year there also was a tournament for boys under the age of 15 with 6 teams participating.
The result of the tournament was: Winner: Russia; 2nd place: Latvia, 3rd place: Holland; 4th place: Thailand; 5th place: Norway; 6th place: France; 7th place: England; 8th place: Ireland; 9th place: Finland and 10th place: China.
