The “Pattaya International Ladies Club” also known as PILC held their 26th annual Christmas Market on Sunday 17. November at Holiday Inn on Pattaya Beach Road. There were about 70 exhibitors showing and selling all kinds of products. Each exhibitor paid a fee and the general public paid an entrance fee, on top of that there was a raffle with very attractive prizes. The Special Events Chairwoman Jayne Jouai estimated the revenue from the Christmas Market to be between 2 to 500,000 baht. For the kids there were Santas Grotto and lots of fun activities. If you did not attend this year then please come next year, it is a great event for the whole family and a super opportunity to do your Christmas present shopping.
The Club President Sue Tait informed us that PILC have about 175 members of all kinds of nationalities including 20-30 Thais, their main objective is to raise funds for charitable projects and activities. Charities benefitting from PILC recently is Cates Project, Hand to Hand Foundation, Baan Jing Jai, the Mercy Center and other projects focused on education. About one million baht to donated for cfarity every year. Four times per month they have meeting for the members and their special interest groups.
