Hospital equipment for 1,600,000 baht donated
The Rotary Club of Pattaya joined hands with the Rotary Club of Pocheon, South Korea to organize a “Global Grant” with the support of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The scope of the project was to provide essential life saving equipment for the new ICU building at Banglamung Government Hospital, a hospital that support people with low income to get reasonable health care and in this case emergency care. The equipment donated in the project came to a total of 1,600,000 baht. On Tuesday 4. June members of the two participating Rotary Clubs gathered with Rotarians from surrounding clubs in our region to perform a presentation ceremony at the Banglamung Hospital. After the ceremony the Korean Rotarians went to visit the Father Ray Foundation to have a planning meeting for another big project to be carried out next year together with the Rotary Club of Pattaya. In the evening a special Sister Club Signing Ceremony took place at the First Pacific Hotel & Convention on Central Pattaya Road. This was indeed a great example of how the international structure of Rotary with clubs all around the world can benefit the community in a big way.
