“Patrick Poussier misses the Mug but follows up today”
Twelve golfers saddeled up for todays adventure!
Monday 29th April, 2019 Greenwood Golf Course is the destination for today’s game, I believe that this course is one of the better in our region. Always in tip top condition, it’s as if they are show casing this to us. Pricing eased the pain a little (for some). Still the price we pay and what we get for our money is excellent.
The course was under attack from the White Tees and we were to play courses B & C. Well we were not in for any surprises as far as the condition of this course. Weather, although quite warm was very deceiving as we had a slight breeze that stayed with us most of the day. The course was in good nick, as you would expect nothing other than that from this venue. Fairways were in great shape the greens played true but a little slow, bunkers clean and raked.
We would play One Flight only with three placing’s, all novelties were up for grabs!
Patrick Poussier certainly made up for lost time his 38 points put him well clear of the rest of the field. Second home was somewhat of a log jam, three golfers all came back with scores that were hard to separate even with the count back system that we use. Well two placings left and three golfers somebody had to miss out. That unfortunately was Alex Field his back nine let him down, one solitary shot. So tied for second was Keith Buchanan and Bill McGarvie!.
