ASIAN GAELIC GAMES
The 2018 FEXCO Asian Gaelic Games was hosted by Thailand GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) in Bangkok from 16-18 November 2018. On Friday 16. November at the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok the Minister for the Diaspora and International Development Ciaran Cannon accompanied by Thailand Vice Minister for Sport Ittipol Khunpleum (our former popular Mayor of Pattaya) officially performed the opening of the Fexco Asia Games 2018. Also in attendance was Stephen Deveroux, President of the Rotary Club of Pattaya and a very active member of the Irish community in Pattaya. About 1,000 participants from around the Asian region gathered to compete in the various Gaelic Sports like Hurling, Gaelic Handball and Football and Camogie.
