With a bigger contingent than last month we headed to the mountain, Mountain Shadow, all were eager to have a crack at The October Monthly Mug.
With all the rain that we had had this course was in Tip Top condition, bus chatter was all about carts on course and would they be allowed. Well they were allowed to the delight of all and sundry, we did play Lift Clean & Place as some areas were a little wet.
Mt Shadow was in great nick plush fairways, greens were true (Considering the rain had) and clean bunkers. There were no hold ups as yet again the course was empty. As we find everywhere we go courses are empty yet they will be gearing up to charge over the top rates next month for the fictitious “HIGH SEASON”
To the courses that do adjust rates we say Bye Bye see you next year!
We had seventeen golfers thus playing the one flight only, all novelties would be in play also!
Patrick Poussier is our stroke play champion, I may play with him next month to see if I can pick up any secrets or tricks that make him a success at this game!
It was net 69 that gave Patrick his third Mug, a great effort and I am sure that he has not finished at three. Second went to the count back with Alex Field (net 70) tipping Glenn Henriksen (also net 70) back to third spot. Finishing off the podium positions was Colin Stielow who finished with net 71.

Back at the Swan we welcomed back the following golfers, Masa, Frank Mills, Eddie Dejong, Colin Stielow and Gordon Clegg. We then said goodbye to Glenn Henriksen returning to Aust. Glenn we wish you a safe trip and hope you return soon. All the best!
