RAYONG AQUARIUM
The Rayong Aquarium is a public aquarium in the town of Rayong, located in the Baan Phe area about 90 minutes drive from Pattaya. Owned and operated jointly by the Department of Fisheries of Thailand and the Eastern Marine Fisheries Research and Development Center, the aquarium hosts 43 aquarium tanks with the capacity of 1-4 tons each and recreate natural habitats for a variety of species, an underwater glass tunnel where you can get an up-close look at the huge fish swimming overhead, an outdoor shark and ray pond, a shell museum, and fishing boat exhibitions. Go below sea level at Rayong Aquarium, dedicated to Thailand’s aquaculture. Try to spot saltwater and freshwater creatures, including sea urchins, turtles, big grouper, sea horses, and lobsters.
