ROTARIANS ASSIST STUDENTS

ROTARIANS ASSIST STUDENTS
The Rotary Club of Pattaya, Rotary International district 3340, recently launched their ‘Rotary Dream Box Appeal’ at Pattaya City School Number 6. The project encourages students to write down a dream and the place these into a collection box. These papers then go into a lucky draw and with the generosity of 4 local sponsors including the Sapphire Club, The Loft, Queen Victoria Pub and Freight Plus, the Rotary Club has 16,000 baht to spend every month on making dreams come true. This project began in Pattaya City School Number 8 (Chaimongkol School) two months ago and thousands of requests have come through. Everything from dreaming of having a new school uniform or shoes that fit to cleaning supplies to clean their house with. Currently there are 64 students at Pattaya City School Number 8 dreaming of having eye glasses so they can read properly. So far we have sponsors for 26 of these. Each pair costs 2,000 baht.
