PATTAYA UNITED – REASONABLY SAFE

PATTAYA UNITED – REASONABLY SAFE
So, with three games remaining, the Dolphins are 7th in the Thai Premier Football League table on 45 points. Mathematically, if results go against them and they do not gain any more points, relegation is still possible, but that scenario is highly unlikely.
Results in September were mixed starting with a 1-0 defeat at home by Nakhon Ratchasima FC after a disasterous first minute opportunist goal struck over the Pattaya goalkeepers head from the halfway line. Schoolboy error!
That was followed by a superb 3-1 win away at Ubon UMT FC and then another 3-1 victory at home over Police Tero FC.
A visit to Sukhothai FC got the Dolphins a 4-0 thrashing but by then, they had established a cushion of points meaning that they would stay in 7th place.
Finally, the last home match of September saw Utd. lose a lead twice in the home game against a very tetchy Ratchaburi FC side to gain only one point in a 2-2 draw that Pattaya should have won.
So, at the time of going to press and with an away game at runaway league leaders Buriram to come on the 29th of September, Pattaya Utd are not serious relegation candidates and, hopefully, will look forward to another season in the Premier league.
The last two matches of the season in October are:
Away at Muang Thong Utd on Saturday October 3rd at 6pm
Home versus Port FC on Sunday October 7th at 6pm.
Everyone is encouraged to come to this last match of the season against a strong Port FC side who always bring a lot of fans with them.
