POLICE ARREST DRUG DEALER
A dramatic chase and subsequent arrest of an alleged drug dealer took place in front of many local people who witnessed this scene. Some thought it was a recording of a movie, near the Tukcom computer and IT center in South Pattaya. Prior to the action the Pattaya police had arrested a young man who’s urine tested positive for the Ya-Ice drug. He explained that he had bought the drug from a Mr. Sod. The local police then set up an undercover action to buy the same kind of drug for 500 baht from Sod outside the Tukcom center. Arrangements were agreed between Sod and the undercover agent, and when Sod came back with the drug on his motor bike the police were waiting to make the arrest. Sod however would not give in to the police and left his motor bike and tried to escape on foot. During the chase Sod took off his jacket to deceive the chasing police officers. All his efforts were good for nothing as he eventually was caught by the “long arm of the law”.
