THONGCHAI IS READY TO BE IN THE FIELD OF ROYAL CUP 2018

at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club Pattaya

Pattaya – Chonburi, 21 July 2018 : Thongchai Jaidee, the Lopburi’s 48 years old veteran top Asian player is ready to the field of Asian Tour in Royal Cup 2018 to compete with other top players of the tour at Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club in Pattaya during 26 – 29 July 2018 with 500,000USD purse money (appx. 16.5 million Thai Baht)

The strong field of 156 players in Royal Cup 2018 consists of 75 Asian Tour players, 40 Thai players, 10 PGA of Australasia players, 5 Japan Golf Tour players, 16 invites spot, and including 10 players form Monday Qualifier which will be held on Monday, 23 July.

Thongchai – the three-time winner of Asian Tour Order of Merit in 2001, 2004 and 2009 and 13 Tour titles winner expressed about joining the tournament and eyes to keep the trophy in Thailand.

“it’s such the great honour to compete for the Royal Cup and it is my first time to play in this tournament. I will try my best as usual and would like to see that the trophy will be kept in Thailand.”

Ratchaburi’s Sattaya Supupramai also well prepare himself to get into the field, said that, “I am glad to see that Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club host this honourable tournament. The total purse money is the biggest amount in Thailand’s tournament. I always practice at this golf course. The fairways and greens are quite difficult. I just aim to play well in the first two round and pass the cut. If possible, I would like to finish at top 10.”

29-year-old Chantaburi’s Chinnarat Phadungsil said that, “I am pleased to join the field of the significant Royal Cup. The golf course is very challenging, keeping ball in fairways is the thing to do here. I wish to perform my best form and that shall be with good outcome.”

Thailand’s top players lining up to join the entry list of Royal Cup 2018 are Phachara Khongwatmai, Chapchai Nirat, Prom Meesawat, Panuphol Pittayarat, Danthai Boonma, Natipong Srithong and Arnond Vongvanij.

LIVE TV Broadcasting will be on True Sport HD 3 on True Visions during 13:00-16:00hrs on Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 July. Admission ticket for spectator is available at Ticket Booth near public entrance at the golf club at 100THB/person/day on 26-29 July. Free admission for spectator age under 18 and over 60 years old. Gate opening time is at 08:00hrs daily.
