JOMTIEN WASTEWATER AND SEWAGE
A meeting took place chaired by Pattaya Mayor Police Major General Anan Charoenchasri with participation of members of the administrative committee of the Na Jomtien municipality. The topic of the meeting was to reach a short term solution to the fact that the Jomtien area did not yet have a perfect wastewater and sewage treatment system in place, as such wastewater and sewage runs directly into the sea off the Jomtien beach especially when heavy rain fall create flooding in the area. In conclusion of the meeting it was decided that the Na Jomtien Municipality will for a limited period be able to use the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Soi Wat Boon Kanchana, until they have developed a sufficient system by their own. As such holiday makers at Jomtien beach will be able to swim in cleaner water.
