A CHEFS’ JOURNEY

A CHEFS’ JOURNEY
The Chaine des Rotisseurs event for May at the Dusit Thani, Pattaya went down as one of the best Chaine events on the Eastern Seaboard, ever!
The food, wine, service and comradery was everything the Chaine stands for.
Talented young Chef Pathma had devised a culinary treat for the guests by taking them on a culnary journey around the world, mixing up flavours and styles.
For instance, the starter was Maldivian and Bruneian with further courses offering Samoan and Fijian (also called Oka or Kokoda) tuna in coconut.
Then there was Mongolian broth lamb with dumplings and a main course of a mix of East and West being Asian spiced broth complimenting Australian beef fillet with Spanish onion prefaced by a plum sorbet with a touch of Chinese wine.
Finally a duo of Omani and Australian Chocolate um Ali with traditional Pavlova and assorted berries rounded off an amazing dinner.
In true Pattaya style the guests mingled jovially and had great fun with each other, the boisterous ladies especially enjoying the fine Italian wines which complimented each course.
It was really good to see some new young faces at the event and the Chaine does encourage all ages to participate.
The next event is on Friday the 8th of June at Silverlake which promises to be an Italian themed dinner with luxury food and wine, all put together by well known top Italian chef Alberto.
