SONGKRAN BLESSINGS
The District Chief of Banglamung and the management team of Pattaya City Hall joined together on 18. April in a “Rod Narm Dam Hua” ceremony and a monk blessing involving 9 month as well as a merit making ceremony involving 99 monks. This ceremony took place a day before the big Songkran day in Pattaya, and following the tradition a possession with a big Buddha image in front passed through the Naklua area prior to local “Nakluans” playing Songkran that entire day. Songkran is a joyful celebration of the Thai New Year, the only reason why so many foreigners is leaving Pattaya and business is suffering so badly is because low life and drunken foreigners have corrupted Songkran and made it a hostile, violent and unpleasant event in many part of our city.
