ALGERIAN STEALS FROM KOREAN
Korean tourist Seung Chui Lee age 45 reported a theft to the police. He was sitting at a restaurant in Soi 27 of Pattaya-Naklua Road with his Cross Shoulder Bag hanging behind him on his chair when Algerian Mouloud Sadat age 53 according to CCTV footage stole his bag containing 20,000 baht, 650,000 South Korean Won (worth about 19,000 baht), a pair of brand name sunglasses worth about 10,000 baht, a Power Bank worth 2,000 baht and a credit card. The CCTV footage showed the police that the Algerian walked into the restaurant and waited to a moment when the Korean was not paying attention to snatch the bag and quickly leave the restaurant with it. The suspect was seen by police and on CCTV to walk in and out of restaurants in Soi 33 of Pattaya_Naklua Road, so he was arrested here. Mouloud admitted to the theft, but said that it was the only time he had done so, the police for various reasons however did not believe him and he was taken to the police station for further investigation and prosecution.
