CHILDRENS BEACH DAY
Rotary put a smile on the faces of disadvantaged children. The “Kids Day Out” project help the disadvantaged children of Bangkok to enjoy a day of fun at the beach. This was 20th year the Rotary Club of Bangkok South organized the Kids Day Out at Royal Varuna Yacht Club. 8 buses with approximately 290 children and staff from three Schools and institutions participated in this Children’s beach day: Baan Pakkred, (disabled), Baan Ramintra, (blind) and House of Blessing (parents in jail).
Many of people have been blessed with good health, good education, good job
opportunities, and comfortable lives. The Kids Day our project is a chance for people to give back to the community and share the happiness with these disadvantaged but beautiful children.
To organize the event there was participation of 31 members, families and friends of the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, and a team of 12 members of the Rotary Club of Eastern Seaboard (Pattaya) as well as staff from Shrewsbury International School.
The sponsors were: Tee Shirt from BP Castrol; Beach Towels from Gotex Lines and Uniforms; Snack Boxes (food snacks on the buses) from Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok; Venue Sponsor was Barry Osborne, General Manager Royal Varuna Yacht Club; Drinks and Chairs from Thai Namthip (Coca Cola).
