Leaders meet to discuss infrastructure ideas
At 9:30am on the 5th of June, officials from the Development of Special Economic Zone met at the Cape Dara Resort in Pattaya to discuss ways to increase the local tourism industry.
The chairman from the project’s board of directors, Mr. Surat Makawarakul, met with Pol. Maj. Gen. Anan Chareasan and the Pattaya city Mayor to discuss the creation and implementation of ideas that will boost the local economy.
Tourism development projects seek to raise the levels of earnings for local people within the Eastern Special Economic Zone.
The team are working within a one year target date and so far their ideas include; development of Utapao Airport, improved highways in the area, high-speed trains to link the nearest airports and ports and the development of two-way trains that will connect all three piers within the area.
