Sinkhole Deepens
Residents appeal for authority to act
Heavy rain has caused a large hole to appear on a pavement in Nongprue which is now reported to be over 1 meter deep.
Local residents have complained to the local authorities but as of yet the problem has not been resolved. Locals have placed a large stick in the hole in an attempt to notify people to the danger.
The pavement is in a busy area opposite a Big C shopping center and it has been reported that a tourist recently fell into the hazard while walking.
With more rain expected in the coming days and weeks, locals are desperate for authorities to act and fix the sinkhole before someone is seriously injured.
