Launch of new hotel in Banglamung
On the 17th of May, Maj. Gen. Chatchath Chaijinda the commander-in-chief of the Thai national police presided over the launch of the Police Resort and seminar in Banglamung.
The seminar was attended by many important guests including; The National Police Agency representative Mr.Parathorn Theinchai, Chonburi Governor Mr. Naris Nilipiwong, Banglamung District Officer. Maj. Gen. Anan Chareasan, Pattaya City Mayor and many police officers from Chonburi Province.
A merit obtaining ceremony was conducted at Wat Pho Thi Sam Phan temple in Naklua by the monk Abbot Phra Krue Panya Pattanaporn, before the opening ceremony of the seminar.
The resort in Ban Ploo, Banglamung,has been construction on an area of over 106 rai at a cost of around 298.5 million Baht. The 4 story, 80 room resort comes equipped with a swimming pool and 300-seat convention hall.
The site, which was formerly a rehabilitation facility for police officers injured on active duty was first proposed by Gen. Phoa Sriyanon, the former Director General of the Police Department in 1957.
Now, the resort will hostpolice officers as well as the general public and it is the first pilot welfare accommodation in the country under the supervision of the National Police.
A sandy beach sits 900 meters north of the Banglamung canal, whilst being South of a local fishing community. It offers clean swimming away from the busier beaches in Pattaya and is covered in pine and palm trees to truly allow guests to unwind.
