Unlicensed Korean Tour guide facing tough sentence

At 4 pm on the 18th of May, Chonburi Tourist Police led by Superintendent Pol. Maj. Piyapong Ensarn, set up a checkpoint at Nongprue New Toll on Route 7 with cooperation from the Banglamung Police.
The checkpoint was established to focus on traffic law violations and illegal tour guides operations.
From the operation, a South Korean non-licensed tour guide was arrested while escorting a tour group of Korean tourists in a minibus. The guide, who has so far not been named, will now face was legal prosecution and may be given a penalty of 1 year’s imprisonment and/or a fine up to 100,000 Baht.
