Police Upgrade

Pattaya police station to be revamped
On the afternoon of the 12th May, Pattaya police superintendent Pol. Col. Chachawat Patarasiriporn welcomed 70 Police Cadets to an educational seminar to inform them of the proposed upgrade to Pattaya City Police Station.
The aim is to turn the current police station into a modern facility capable of providing a range of services that will meet all the needs of local people and tourists alike.
The seminar was split into both theory and exercise training. Cadets were initially informed of modern technologies and equipment which will be used in future investigations which included a demonstration of state of the art GPS tracking systems which can be used in finding evidence and tracing suspects.
An area of Soi Sukhumvit 52 was used as the scene of a robbery, where a robber then flees and hides in an abandoned house. Cadets must then use the GPS systems in conjunction with Japanese Drones to trace the robber.
The new Pattaya City police station will also come equipped with interpreters, translators and a community relations branch to better serve the needs of Pattaya’s increasingly cosmopolitan community.
