Thieves break into car while owner eats dinner
Shortly after midnight , Pattaya Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Chaliaw Boonkoom was called out to the parking area of Ronan Japanese Restaurant on Soi Naklua 16/2, where a the back left window of a white Toyota Vigo had been smashed and 12,000 Baht stolen from inside.
The vehicles owner, a local noodle vendor Mr. Warutchai Nantasurasak, aged 29, told police that he had been inside the restaurant eating a meal when the crime took place. He reported only being away from the car for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the area as part of their investigation but it is reported that the car was parked in a very dark area.
