22nd November 2016, at Redemtorist Center Pattaya, Khun Surat Maekhawarakul (President of Mike Group), KhunRattanachaiSuthasaechanai, Mr.NielsColov(Chairman Board Of Directors Pattaya People Media Group), KhunPitak (Associated GM CP All Eastern Region) and Father Dr. PicharnJaisaeree (Associated President of Father Ray Foundation) together held a press conference regarding SOS Rice 2016.
“SOS Rice” is a rice fund that campaignsfor rice donations with all proceeds distributed amongst the needy each year.
According to King Bhumibhol’s teachings, rice is considered as the main diet for Thai people. Therefore, everyone should take this opportunity to make merit to His Majesty on these special days.
The Father Ray Foundation has 900 students and children with disabilities and each year they consume 75,000 kilograms of rice.
SOS Rice has been organized for 18 years and receives good support from related departments. SOS Rice will be held from the 2nd – 5th December 2016. Rice donation stationsare located at Mike Shopping Mall, TESCO Lotus, Big C, Makro, Friendship, Tops, Villa Market, Foodland, 7-11 and other flea market stores.
