500,000 Rounds in Pattaya

One of the busiest regions benefitting from this surge in golf vacations is Pattaya, which boasts over 28 courses within 30-90 minutes’ drive from the resort. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) they project that the country’s 230 golf courses can expect to welcome up to 600,000 foreign golf tourists in the next 12 months. Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club costs. Last year over 500,000 rounds of golf were played by foreign vacationers in Pattaya.

Expats & Locals

Apart from golf vacationers, Pattaya, South East Asia’s fastest growing resort has a large population of expats either working in the region’s growing manufacturing base or as retirees. There are many active golf societies, and the largest, the Pattaya Sports Club, has over 2,500 members. Golfer’s book hotels, need ground transport or drive to the course, buy golf equipment and clothing, and afterwards enjoy a drink and a meal with their friends. When not playing golf, golfers often accompanied by their non- playing partners, like to visit local attractions, go shopping and enjoy the resorts restaurants and nightlife.
