WORLD RECORD BREAKER

On the 7th, September an attempt to break the world record for the longest line of pencils was done at the Pattaya Bungy Jump. Hundreds of people came to have fun playing the many games including virtual reality, paddle boats, football, tossing games and much more. The face painting was a a great success along with the jewelry making stall. There were 6 sponsored bungy jumps which raised 34 000 baht and a rabbit poo raffle too! There was plenty of food to eat at the stalls and a great BBQ was hosted by Hemmingway’s and Fraser’s. After expenses there was 84, 875 baht raised which was shared between 5 different charities including the Boonchoo Foundation, Mercy, Grace, Spectrum and the Hand to Hand Foundation.
There were 2138 pencils in the line up which took 1 hour and 22 minutes to count. This smashes the previous world record of 1000 pencils but we now need to wait 12 weeks for all of the evidence to be verified by the guiness book of records.
A big thank you to everyone who came, volunteered and gave pencils, drinks, snacks and sponsored bungy jumps. A big that to the Pattaya People media team who have been supporting us since we gave birth to the idea way back in March!
