Carl’s Jr. expands in Thailand with new restaurant opening in Terminal 21, Pattaya
CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. (“CKE”), parent company of Carl’s Jr.®, has announced the opening of the 6th restaurant in Thailand. The restaurant is locally-owned and operated by Carl’s Jr. Thailand Franchisee ‘R&R Restaurant Group Ltd.’, who opened the first Carl’s Jr. Restaurant in Thailand in 2012 featuring the authentic California burgers.
The new Carl’s Jr. restaurant, located at the brand-new Terminal 21 Mall in Pattaya, will introduce the taste of California to a young energetic population of consumers. Now, more consumers, both local and tourists, will have the chance to experience the Carl’s Jr.’s iconic, handmade American classic menu. This includes 100 % pure beef chargrilled burgers, such as the world-famous Western Bacon Cheeseburger® as well as Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders™, crispy Hand-Breaded Chicken Drumsticks and Wings and Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes™.
“We are thrilled to expand Carl’s Jr. in Pattaya,” said Brad Sommer, General Manager – Asia, CKE Restaurants. “We opened the first Thailand franchise in Pattaya in Central Plaza Mall in 2012 so the location is a special one for us. Customers will love our made to order Chargrilled burgers, Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes made with real ice cream as well as our wide range of chicken sandwiches and hand breaded fried chicken legs and wings. When it comes to delivering affordable yet premium, high quality and fresh menu items, Carl’s Jr. is in a class by itself”, added Mr. Sommer.
“Pattaya’s large, youthful population and aspirational middle class along with the ever-changing tourist populace are increasingly seeking western brands that offer superior taste, quality and convenience,” said Ivor Pratap, Group Director of R&R Restaurants Group Ltd. “With its freshly prepared, flavourful menu items, Carl’s Jr. is well positioned to meet the needs of today’s discerning consumers.” In addition to the Pattaya opening, Carl’s Jr. Thailand will open additional restaurants in Bangkok later this year.
