BURAPA BIKE WEEK – STAYING STRONG

BURAPA BIKE WEEK – STAYING STRONG
One of the biggest annual Pattaya events in the calendar is the Burapa Bike Week festival held every year during February at the Chayapreuk Stadium area just outside Pattaya City.
This year will be the 22nd time that bikers from all over S.E. Asia meet for a week of commaradery, peace, love and music.
After a challenging year during which certain biker groups were targeted by uninformed media outlets, mostly in Australia, every motorbike club in the area has come together on several occasions to show the authorities and the general public how law abiding and respectful they are to the traditions of Thailand. Therefor the motto of this year’s event is ‘Staying Strong’.
The organisers of this Pattaya festival have always preached peace, love and respect between the many clubs which collaborate to enjoy a ‘Woodstock’ vibe with an excuse to show off the incredible range of bikes and related paraphanalia on offer.
Pattaya People Media Group have always supported this event and are happy to encourage all and sundry to visit this family friendly show of friendship between all who love Thailand. Thousands will attend and there has never been an incident requiring outside police involvement. On the contrary, the army and police celebrate by joining in.
This year, Burapa Bike Week is even bigger than before with a three day site festival on the 14th, 15 and 16th of February. Entertainment and stage manager Richie Rhodes revealed to Barry Upton that once again, the star performer will be festival favourite, former ‘Guns ‘n’ Roses’ guitarist, Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal who always thrills with his dynamic wondrous guitar style.
Also appearing this year are Hugo featuring J. Montenegro, Goober Gun, a ‘Rolling Stones’ style band called Midnight Rambler, Mud Pie South, Wolf Within, Coyote and a new young band getting rave reviews, The Electric Stones.
No incentive is needed for previous visitors as, once you’ve experienced the variety of attractions on offer including clothes stalls, native Indian horses and culture, etc., you will be hooked to the great vibe surrounding the whole event.
If you’ve never been, don’t miss this upcoming festival of fun.
