IMMIGRATION LAUNCH NEW SERVICE
Chunburi Immigration, that is located in Soi 5 off Jomtien Beach Road in Pattaya, launched recently a new service to the foreign community. At a press conference the Superintendent Police Colonel Songprod Sirisukkha announced a new application that will make it easier and more convenient to contact the Immigration Police om ‘Mobile IMM-Q’. Colonel Songprod said that Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha has the policy to drive Thailand to “Thailand 4.0”, that will bring new technological innovations to modernize the country. The immigration office has received guidelines to reduce the various processes and create a faster service. The first phase of the program is to be able to book an appointment for application of visas to stay in the Kingdomas well as to check the availability of documents in seven categories: 1. Tourist visa, 2. Student in public education, 3. Students in private education institutions, 4. Thai husband, 5. Thai wife, 6. Taking care of Thai children and 7. Retirement visa. In addition to these services the application can also be a platform for the public to report anyone who have committed a crime, including behavior related to human trafficking.
