US tourist commits suicide in Pattaya apartment
At 8:30pm on the 17th of July, Pattaya police and medics responded to a call regarding a suicide attempt at a UniCity Pattaya condo.

After arriving at the scene, the emergency services found a 54-year old American citizen, identified as Mr. Anthony Matthew Klang, lying unconscious on the floor of his 26th floor apartment.

It appeared as though Mr. Klang had hung himself from his wardrobe using nylon ropes.

The medics worked courageously to revive the man, but he later died of the injuries he had sustained.

The girlfriend of the deceased told officers that she had found Mr. Klang collapsed on the floor before notifying the emergency services.
She believes that he wished to end his own life due to business problems abroad which had caused him great financial distress.

His body has been taken to a local hospital to undergo a full post mortem review.
