On the 10th of June, Pattaya Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Apichai Krobpetch held a presentation ceremony during which, the two citizens who helped capture a man who had sexually assaulted a 70-year old woman, were given rewards to honour their bravery and valour.
The two men, identified as market vendor Mr. Thanasak Koenchoemk, aged 34, and Mr. Puwadol Cochuay, aged 17, detained Mr. Samai Chaiyasit, aged 30, after he matched the description the offender.
Superintendent Pol. Col. Apichai Krobpetch emphasized that the actions of the men not only demonstrated the good character of the vast majority of Pattaya’s citizens, but may well have prevented Mr. Samai from striking again.
