Student day at Wat Suthawat School
“The Day of Student Cooperative Activities in the year 2017
At 9.00am on the 7th of June, Chonburi Governor, Mr. Pakkaratorn Tienchai, arrived at the Wat Suthawat School in Banglamung to officially open their “Day of Student Cooperative Actvities”.
Other important guests on the day included; Banglamung Sheriff, Mr. Naris Niramaiwong, the Mayor of Nong Prue, Dr. My Chaiyanit, the school’s director, Mrs. Chanita Yindeesuk, as well as representatives from the police and of course the school’s students and teachers.
The main focus of the day was to show what the students were able to achieve when they worked together on projects.
One such project is the school farm. The students received advice from agricultural experts and the farm now produces and manages both crops and livestock.
The ideas of cooperation and self-sufficiency were heavily promoted by the late king, HM King Rama 9. With that in mind, it was fitting that his daughter, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, be present on the day where the fruits of hard work and endeavour were shown for all to see.
