Thief makes off with images worth 100,000 Baht
On the evening of the 16th of May, Banglamung police were called out to the carpark of Tungkrad Market after a police volunteer’s car window had been broken and valuables inside were stolen.
At the scene, the owner of the vehicle Mr. Thawat Nuithepm aged 50, told police that had only left the car for a matter of minutes whilst he escorted his wife around the market.
The entire driver’s side window of the Nissan Sunny had been broken through and the unknown thief had made off with a bag belonging to Mr. Thawat which contained images of Buddha worth an estimated 100,000 Baht, as well as 1,000 Baht in cash.
The local police networks were notified of the incident and police are reviewing CCTV footage to see if they can identify the robber.
