Festival celebrating Eastern provinces comes to Pattaya
Next month will see the 10th annual Seesan Tawan-ork Festival coming to Pattaya. The festival, which is being sponsored by the TAT Pattaya office, promotes the four Eastern provinces of; Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trad.
The festival will include fun activities and entertainment for the whole family while more than 120 booths will offer regional products including some of the best fruit in Thailand.
A press conference was held to publicize the event at the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit Hotel on the afternoon of the 16th of May. The deputy governor of Chonburi province Mr. Pawat Lerdmkda co-opened the press conference with representatives from the Trad Tourism and Sports Committees Mrs. Duangdeuan Sodsaeng-jan and Mr. Taworn Ratanakul.
The main event, which is making its 10th appearance, will be held between the 1st-4th of June on Pattaya Beach.
As well as providing a great opportunity for tourists to get a real flavor of the Eastern Seaboard provinces, Mr. Lerdmkda hopes that the event will boost the local economy.
This year’s festival will also feature a tribute the beloved late king HM King Rama 9.
