Police and Sister Pattaya Foundation hold talks
As previously reported, the Sister Pattaya Foundation has recently submitted a petition to Pattaya police after an incident involving a tourist police volunteer and a ladyboy.
On the 1st of May, Pattaya police superintendant Pol. Col. Apichai Krobpetch arranged a consultation between the police volunteer in question and the foundation so that both parties may discuss the altercation.
The foundation, which was set up to protect the rights of transgender individuals in Pattaya, sent it’s director Mr. Thitiyanant Nakpor to meet with police so that all parties could discuss the matter face to face and resolve it peacefully.
After the discussions, which lasted around one hour, it became clear that the ladyboy involved, Mr. Supichayanant Planisong, aged 26, had more bruised pride rather than sustaining significant physical injuries.
The police volunteer felt that the ladyboy had insulted him and bullied him for money.
The discussions are ongoing as the police look to promote dialogue as the way to resolve the issue.
