Gold necklace snatched while buying Durian
A 3-Baht-weight gold necklace with a golden framed Buddha image was snatched during an a robbery in the middle of Soi Chaloemprakiat 19 of 3rd Pattaya Road when the owner Mr. Udomsak Putti, aged 33, was buying durian at the side of the road.
A male teenager on a Honda Wave 125 motorcycle approached the victim and snatched his necklace before fleeing the scene.
Mr. Udomsak didn’t see the license plate of the snatcher’s motorcycle and was frustrated at waiting sometime to make his complaint at the Pattaya police station.
The skill at which the snatcher made his successful robbery indicates that this is not the first time he has committed such a crime. Citizens and tourists are warned to constantly be aware of the dangers of bag/jewelry snatchers, as this crime shows, the perpetrator may be gone in seconds.
