Monk celebrates birthday and 60 years of service
At 10 am on the 29th of April, a religious ceremony was held at Pothisampan Temple, Naklua Road, as hundreds of followers and Buddhists invited the Holy Power to bless the Abbot Monk Prakru Panya Patanaporn (Luangpor Panya Punyajaro) on the occasion of his 80th Birthday and 60th Year of Monkhood.
Banglamung district chief Mr. Naris Niramaiwong, former Pattaya council members Mr. Banlue Kullawanich and Mrs. Jidapa Suwathaporn and representatives from the armed forces all participated in the ceremony paying respect to the Abbot Monk Prakry Panya Patanaporn.
Luangpor Panya was born locally in Chonburi Province and entered monkhood 60 years ago when he was 20 years old. He was promoted to the position of Abbot Monk of Pothisampan Temple 13 years ago.
