TOUR GUIDES NO LICENSE

Two tour guides arrested for working without license
23rd March on Sukhumvit road in front of Chonglom Temple in Naklua, Chonburi tourist police led by Division 4 – Pattaya Office Superintendent Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn in cooperation with Pattaya Highway Police set up checkpoints focusing on tour buses to maintain safety on the roads before the upcoming Songkran Festival.
The operation focused on the health and condition of the tour bus driver and licenses of the tour guides of which from this operation, two guides; a Thai and a Chinese person were detained as they failed to show their tour guide licenses.
The maximum penalty for not having a license is 100,000 Baht or imprisonment for up to 1 year or both
